Describe the task before booking equipment

When requesting survey equipment rental across Saudi Arabia, explain whether the task is detail surveying, setting-out or another workflow, together with site conditions and the expected duration. Suitability depends on those details, operator familiarity and required outputs, not just the model name.

Share any coordinate-system or file-format requirements before agreeing the rental. Confirm that the operator can use the instrument and software, and discuss any setup or familiarisation needed before the team arrives on site.

Check the full kit, not only the instrument

Record what is included for the selected instrument: controller, mounts, tripod or reflector, batteries, chargers and cables where needed. Confirm quantities and condition in a clear handover record. Do not assume that every accessory in a catalogue image is included.

Review the working-day power requirement and charging arrangements, and inspect connections, supports and the case. A missing small component can prevent field work from starting, so relate the accessory list to the actual task rather than using one universal kit list.

Test the workflow and export at handover

Arrange an appropriate startup demonstration and review of required settings, files and accessories, and ask about available instrument-check information or documentation. Test a sample project and an export your team can read, without changing another user's configuration without agreement.

For GNSS workflows, clarify responsibility for corrections, connectivity or subscriptions where needed. For other equipment, review software licensing and any functions essential to the job. A working instrument alone does not prove that the full measurement-to-delivery workflow is ready.

Agree on duration, return and support

Agree on start and end dates, extension arrangements, collection and return, and the response to faults, missing accessories or interrupted work. Obtain the actual price, deposits and responsibilities in writing rather than assuming that every rental follows identical terms.

Send the office the task, duration, location and preferred instrument if known, then confirm availability, cost and included accessories before proceeding. For recurring work, compare rental and purchase while considering training, maintenance and downtime in the decision.

Frequently asked questions

Are rental prices fixed in advance?+

Request a quotation based on the instrument, duration, accessories and availability. This article is not a price offer or a stock confirmation.

Does the rental include an operator?+

Confirm this in the quotation. Renting an instrument and providing a field crew are different scopes.

When should I consider purchasing?+

For repeated use, compare overall cost, accessories, maintenance, training and downtime rather than only a single day's rental rate.
